Senator Richard Blumenthal represents Connecticut in the U.S. Senate as a member of the Democratic Party. Richard's current Senate term began January 3, 2023 and ends January 3, 2029. Richard Blumenthal earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard College and his law degree from Yale Law School, where he was editor of the Yale Law Journal, and clerked for Supreme Court Justice Harry Blackmun. He served as Connecticut Attorney General for twenty years before winning his Senate seat in 2010, building a national reputation as a consumer and environmental protection advocate.
