Small projects work best when they’re specific, scheduled, and easy to hand off.

  • Tool library: a shared set of basic repair tools, with a simple sign-out sheet.
  • Resource card: a one-page list of local rent, utility, repair, and legal help, updated quarterly and posted where renters see it.
  • Vacant-lot or vacant-house watch: reporting code problems through official channels and tracking the responses.
  • Set an end date (three or six months), then decide whether to continue, change, or stop.
